"Mission Statement" rebuttal

The Occidental Observer will present original content touching on the themes of white identity, white interests, and the culture of the West. Such a mission statement is sure to be dismissed as extremism of the worst sort in today’s intellectual climate—perhaps even as a sign of psychiatric disorder.

Within merely two sentences we find MacDonald trying to stereotype his opposition. He wants you to believe that anyone who disagrees with him has no better argument than to call him an "extremist" or a "psychiatric case". He wants you to believe that we are incapable of morally refuting his arguments. By claiming that we want to dismiss him, he wants you to dismiss us!

Yet there is a compelling need for such a site. A great many other identifiable groups in the multicultural West have a strong sense of identity and interest, but overt expressions of white identity and white interests (or European-American identity and interests) are rarely found among the peoples who founded these societies and who continue to make up the majority.

The same pattern is true of majorities and minorities almost everywhere around the world, therefore it is deceptive to present it as a uniquely 'Western' phenomenon. In Japan, minority groups such as Ryukyuans have a stronger sense of identity than the majority Yamatos (who simply think of themselves as Japanese). The same is true of China, where minority groups such as Manchurians have a stronger sense of identity than the majority Hans (who simply think of themselves as Chinese). Similarly, there is no problem with the majority in America simply thinking of themselves as Americans.

The only country that comes to mind where the majority group overtly expresses its identity and interests are the Jews of Israel, who think of themselves not simply as Israelis, but as Jews.

We reject labels such as “white supremacist” or “racist” that are routinely bestowed on assertions of white identity and interests as a means of muzzling their expression. All peoples have ethnic interests and all peoples have a legitimate right to assert their interests, to construct societies that reflect their culture, and to define the borders of their kinship group.

In other words, MacDonald believes the Jews of Israel (or for that matter the Jews of the USA and elsewhere) are doing nothing wrong. He rejects labelling their behaviour as "Jewish supremacist" and "racist", even though these are perfectly accurate descriptions. He believes Jews have a "legitimate right" to "assert their interests" ie. to treat non-Jews as ethical lessers (Goys) without guilt provided it serves Jewish interests.

And, as if one group behaving in this way were not already bad enough, he encourages whites to behave towards non-whites in the same way Jews behave towards non-Jews!

If someone cheats to gain an advantage over the non-cheaters, should we all start cheating, or should we get rid of the cheaters? If someone commits crime to gain an advantage over the non-criminals, should we all become criminals, or should we get rid of the criminals? Which is a better world: one in which Jewish racist behaviour is emulated by everyone, or one in which it no longer exists? In other words, one in which "assertion of ethnic interests" is considered "legitimate", or one in which it is recognized as both morally disgusting and practically dangerous, and accordingly dealt with by all who understand the problem that it poses to society as a whole?

We predict that whites will develop a stronger sense of their own identity and interests as a natural outcome of becoming a minority. We are simply ahead of the curve—an unsettling harbinger of things to come.

That is one possibility. Alternatively, the high-quality people (Aryans) of all ethnic backgrounds, especially those living in the same country, can unite with each other based on opposition to all racism and other tribalism - non-Jewish as well as Jewish. This is what Aryanism promotes. Never be fooled by self-fulfilling prophecies or those who spread them. Let them claim to be ahead of the curve; we can leave the curve any time we want. Let them predict the future; we can decide it.
